... we had to build a fence. Nothing speaks for a company as well as their own work, so we cased our neighborhood for fences we liked. Luckily, these wise companies advertise themselves in plain view on their product, so while walking the investment- err, dog- we wrote down the company names on the best looking fences in the style which we wanted, and scheduled appointments for estimates. We also spoke to neighbors with fences from these companies and all received great reviews as good fences and reputable companies.

We got 3 estimates, and Armor Fence was our second. They were neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive. All 3 surveyors were on time and professional, all 3 provided the same basic information- so what set Armor Fence apart from the pack? Their integrity and above board business practices. They explained every aspect of their pricing, told us to be wary of builders who try to upsell certain unnecessary and expensive “upgrades,” which- the first estimate DID include. As a matter of fact, the first estimate was double the cost of the other two, in spite of all 3 companies using the same quality wood from the same supplier.

While the final estimate came in slightly less expensive, the surveyor just didn’t inspire the kind of confidence that K.C. from Armor did… you know that gut feeling you get that makes you feel comfortable- or uncomfortable- with someone after a short interaction? Follow it and most of the time you are right.

The appointment was set- they arrived at 8:59am for a 9:00am appointment, and were done by 2:00pm, leaving no traces of their task behind but a lovely wooden fence to keep our precious 4 legged purchase family member safe, well-exercised and with luck- too tired to tear up our shoes. Armor Fence treated us fairly, with respect, and did exactly what they said they would without a hitch or hidden costs. Their business practices inspired our confidence, and their workmanship inspired this post.
