Buffalo Wing Factory PDF E-mail
The rule of thumb is- at a burger joint, order a burger. At a steakhouse, order a steak. And at the Buffalo Wing Factory (BWF)- order wings.

I took my son and his best buddy to the BWF for lunch today- first time I’ve been there in 3 or so years. The kids opted for the buffalo bites- one buffalo sauce, one teriyaki sauce. There are over 20 wing sauces to choose from- imaginative flavors like Honey Garlic and Spicy Crab- I simply didn’t have the energy to choose or the appetite to try them all! So, I thought I’d go for a burger, a patty melt, to be exact. Let the dissection begin…

The buffalo sauce- excellent and authentic. Not too much, so the bites were finger lickin’ good without being drippy and too messy. My adventurous kid went for the teriyaki bites which were truly fantastic! The sauce was sticky, not goopy, and really flavorful, not just salty. The chicken itself- tender, meaty chunks of white meat that were delivered juicy and hot. I was please to note that the chicken was quite lightly breaded; too much breading soaks up the grease and weighs down the stomach.

My patty melt- my fault for forgetting to request no mayo, but everything else about it was pretty good. They cooked it properly, medium well, and the onions were grilled, sweet and just right. As a beef fiend, I can’t call this my favorite burger, but it was a very good burger- for a wing joint! If you like plain crinkle-cut fries, you’ll love the BWF fries. And if you like seasoned curly fries, you’ll love BWF’s fries. Nothing like having a choice, even if it’s just fries!

Atmosphere: very good neighborhood-hangout, “meetcha at the Wing Factory after work” comfortable. Lots of tv’s of different sizes- from big to bigger- showing a variety of sports shows. I felt at ease dining there with two kids, but I could also see hanging out with “grown folks” and having a few beers. The family atmosphere is good- games, diverse kid’s menu- they would probably put cartoons on for the younger kids if asked.

Our service was great- Kyle was very friendly, spoke directly to the kids like they were little adults, and checked back on us several times to ensure all was well. I met the Business Manager, Sean (or is it Shawn?) who demonstrated the kind of leadership that changes good service to great service- he was on the floor, greeting guests, checking tables, and showing pride in the restaurant, which is where fantastic service begins. I appreciated the way we were treated.

Funny how wings and Asian food are in my bottom 10 favorite foods, yet I’ve reviewed more of them than anything else… hmmm. Sorry- I digress. We’ll meet friends here for a beer, we’ll bring my son to BWF when he wants teriyaki bites, because~
