| Main Street Wings~ American Grill |

When is a wing joint not just another wing joint? When they serve up creamy mac ‘n’ cheese, fried pickle spears and kettle chips… oh yeah, and when the wings are faaaan-tastic! ~~ I won’t lie- I had my reservations about another wing joint popping up in Ashburn. There are already several local places to get great wings. But Main Street Wings brings a lot to the table- literally. And while I thoroughly enjoyed the wings, I was pleased with every aspect of this family owned and operated American grill. I’ve dined here alone, with my family and with The Boy’s flag football team for their team party- and the atmosphere was perfectly comfortable for all three experiences. Flat screen TV’s at the fully stocked bar are at a manageable volume so you aren’t yelling to be heard across the table. It’s clean, welcoming and has plenty of “Eye-Spy” décor to keep the younger diners occupied. Seat yourself and prepare to get FULL. Service is coming along nicely. Our party of 38 had nearly flawless service on a busy Saturday evening; the managers take a real interest in making sure that customers are well taken care of. The staff’s energy and eagerness to please is refreshing- they are building a great team here. And onto the main course of what makes this place a sure success in Ashburn- the FOOD. The Boy is a bigger wing nut than me, so I leave the opinions on wings to him. His review? “ The wings are pretty good- not too saucy or overcooked- you know, when they get kinda tough on the outside? These are easy to eat off of the bone. The mild sauce is awesome but I could totally handle the medium- ooh- I wanna have that DOA sauce and get my name on the board! Oh come ON Mom- why NOT! Whatever… and I really like the mac n cheese but it’s so cheesy I wouldn’t be able to finish all of my wings if I ate it, so you can have it Mom- I KNOW you want it anyway!” So there you have it folks- 6th graders will love these wings! I’ve chowed down on both the burger and pulled pork sliders- tender and tasty on fresh, soft buns- how I finished these AND The Boy’s mac n cheese I will never know… You can definitely tell that many of the dishes are made fresh- the portions are hearty without being overboard, and the selection is broad enough to satisfy just about anyone: juicy hand-pressed burgers, generous sandwiches, homemade pizza, a crisp variety of salads- our party tried a little of everything and everyone was very happy with their wing and non-wing things! This is definitely better than your average American fare, with little extras that make it unique. Like, the wings are served by the pound, not the number. The sauces and soups are homemade. The bread is delivered daily from a local bakery. You can taste the difference at this locally owned and independent restaurant, and it’s worth a visit because~ Main Street Wings Passes with Flying Colors! 20020 Ashbrook Commons Plaza #117 Ashburn, Virginia 20147 571-209-9800
