Whether I’m at Ruth Chris Steakhouse or a neighborhood pub- I still expect great S.A.M. – Service, Atmosphere and Menu. Was Finnegan’s Irish Pub up to the challenge…?
Why yes- yes it was! The service was excellent- polite, attentive, always a full glass on my table and a genuine smile approaching it. I went between lunch and dinner so it there were just a few sports fans at the bar (or were the bar fans watching sports…?) and me. I feel pretty confident that the service would have been just as efficient if the place was packed.
While you could easily bring the family here to enjoy some very tasty pub food, I am looking forward to Date Night here- loads of high def televisions mounted all over, excellent sound system, and a fully stocked bar. Their website is full of events from music to sports. As a smoke-free atmosphere- I think I’d enjoy knocking back a pint or two of cider here some weekend soon!
This is a simple review of a simple meal. Burger and fries. Wanted it medium- got it. Well, it was pretty close, but it was a very juicy and flavorful enough to devour. Great fries- crisp, hot and plenty go to with every bite of that generous burger. And of course that snappy pickle- this is one of my favorite meals in the world. Add the perfect Bloody Mary and the tip doubles!
Sometimes you just want basic, hearty, cheap eats- and this was a casual, satisfying and delicious experience. Other times you want to kick back with friends, maybe enjoy the game or dance to some excellent live music. I will put this place in my top 3 local spots for pub fare and a night out close to home, because clearly~
