 Maybe it's food that reminds me of my youth in the South or maybe it's a desire for good old-fashioned comfort food, but I keep finding myself at Carolina Brothers BBQ on Ashburn Road (near the bike trail). I'd say it was the hottest spot in town last Friday. The line was 10 deep. The pork barbeque is lean, moist and just plain tasty. If you're not into pork try the chicken BBQ, the beef brisket or go vegetarian. The coleslaw is great! You can't leave without sampling the baked macaroni and cheese or the cornbread. I give it a neighborhood nomination. Don't overlook this location as you go about town--it's well the stop.

This place is great BBQ and a great value also! Don't miss their baby back ribs smoked and grilled right in the back. All of their sides are awesome as well - baked beans and potato salad especially. I didn't grow up in the south but I imagine this woulda been the perfect place for a home-style BBQ meal - this is a true neighborhood gem... gives me the feeling that this was here loooong before "new" Ashburn started being built. Please don't miss out on this place - a MUST try!!
