Tiffany Nails~ Nail Salon PDF E-mail
If you've read other reviews, you know I am not a girly-girl. I detest most pampering services: pedicures, manicures, facials... all tedious rituals that are somewhere between root canals and chaperoning school field trips on my loathe-o-meter.

Several times a year I get fake fingernails to curb my lifelong vice of biting and picking at my fingers and nails. I dread the whole process: the filing stings, the gel burns, the nails are usually so thick, oddly shaped, and ridiculous looking that I eventually bite them off as well. I always want those 75 minutes of my life back. But Tiffany Nails has changed all of that.

On the advice of a close friend, the same friend who recommended Quality Maids, in fact- decided to give Tiffany Nails a try. Her nails always look so pretty and natural, I figured the torture would be worth it, just this once. I was going on vacation and needed- as The Man puts it- hands that don't look like they lost a battle with a cheese grater.

I walked in and requested NiNi (my friends' regular technician) for a full set of gel nails, and my experience was a wonderful surprise. Good 80's and 90's music playing- well mostly good- I'm sure someone in the salon enjoyed the Backstreet Boys- pleasant lighting, and NiNi offered me a drink as I sat down at her station. I told her what I wanted and 50 minutes later, I had ten, uniform, perfectly shaped (not too round, not too square), natural-looking nails!

My fingers and nails are sensitive, likely because I never manicure or file them. I told NiNi this, and she took special care- checking on my comfort frequently, filing quickly yet carefully, and simply being nice to this big ol' baby. My sensitivity and dislike for this process was dismissed at most other salons I've visited. I've never had such an efficient technician who did such high quality work. I chose the French manicure, and NiNi used a process to ensure that every tip was exactly the same shape. No bubbles, no unnatural thickness, just pretty, perfect, painless nails.

I've since returned for a fill, and to replace 2 nails that I bit off... hey- I'm only human!- and again- less than an hour later, excellent service. Another notable distinction at Tiffany Nails is the friendly banter between technicians and clients. It's a very welcoming place; technicians refer to us by name, inquire about our families, recall conversations at the previous appointment- most folks booked their follow up appointments right then and there.

I overheard NiNi take time with a customer who had questions about nail care. NiNi recommendation what she thought was best for her nails- not what was most expensive. I found her integrity refreshing, especially after the last salon I went to spent as much time trying convince me to get a pedicure and a wax (excuse me- my upper lip is not that hairy!) as they did rushing through my requested service.

While I'm quite sure they are not the only high quality nail salon in Ashburn, they are far and away friendlier, more efficient and use higher quality materials than any other place I've tried. I've used four other local nail salons in the past two years, and I have now visited my fifth and final nail salon, because~
