Nomination by Marianne Bowen~ Leesburg Canine Country Club
About a year ago we adopted our dog Bella from the Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation. We started taking her to the public dog parks in Fairfax county at first, but then found the Leesburg Canine Country Club on Evergreen Mills Road. It's an offleash social club with large fenced in areas for our dogs, and we fell in love with it right away. We joined and so far there have been very few weekends we haven't gone there with our dog. I think it is an awesome place for dog lovers with and without kids. The owners are friendly and are trying hard to provide an environment that can be enjoyed by everyone.
If you would like to check it out, they do have an open house every week on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoon. Load up your doggie and drive on over there to see how they like it. The way it is set up is that they have an area for the tiny dogs, an area for medium dogs, and two areas for large dogs (separated by temperament). Also, if you can\'t make it on a regular basis consider coming by in October for the Jamboree, because I think it will be a great deal of fun.
