Nomination from Audrey Wittenburg- Java Jones

Java Jones is a welcome new addition to Ashburn, replacing the much-missed Hawaiian Scoop in an out-of-the-way location on Ashburn Road, across from the Presbyterian Church. It's a real shame it's not connected via walking paths from the surrounding neighborhoods and nearby Dinosaur Park, because this place will be a bit hit!

Java Jones has the delicious, nutritious, and healthy Dole Whips and the multitude of fabulous ice cream flavors that the former shop had, but has improved on the business plan by adding free wi-fi, espresso drinks, freshly made sandwiches, and outside seating, PLUS authentic Hawaiian shave ice with about 50 flavors. They open at 7am for those who need a coffee and lunch for later.

As more and more cool businesses come into that area you\'re sure to find it convenient to stop in for some treats, then pick up your dinner at Entree Vous, get your dog washed over at Bark n Bubbles, and get his dinner too at Doggone Natural.

The owner is extremely nice, and servings are very generous - they top the shave ices with a special touch of maraschino cherries or gummy worms - and even as they were opening up shop they demonstrated an interest in the community by getting involved with the Broadlands Live concert series.

Java Jones has two thumbs up and a Flying Colors from me, and I hope everyone will give them a try!
