Tucked in a small Herndon shopping center with a variety of businesses and restaurants, this unpretentious shop was a pleasant find, with its diverse selections of wine- from domestic familiars and unknowns, to international favorites and specialties.

We browsed by country, varietals, and price; the knowledgeable & friendly gentleman, Vaughn, who accompanied us on our impromptu tour pointed out many interesting bottles! We entered the Wine Seller looking for standard faves, and left with wines we’ve neither tried nor seen anywhere else. His recommendations were truly appreciated because he listened to not just what we liked to drink, but how, and when. We discussed why certain wines would suit our intentions: drinking it with a meal or standalone, sharing with friends whose tastes may be slightly different than ours, or tailoring the wine to our preferences alone.

There were plenty of choices under $10, and just as many under $40, and a healthy dose of $80 plus Brunellos, Champagnes and other extraordinary bottles for those special occasions!

While we haven’t had the pleasure of joining one yet- they offer regular classes on wine, pairings, Champagnes and other bubblies, along with weekly tastings and wine dinners. This free-spirited shop specializes in more than just vino- there are gourmet foods, premium cigars and original beers to discover as well!
